Philip Davis

 

Philip Davis is a teacher with over 15 years experience.  In that time he has been in senior managment as well as IT co-ordinator and music co-ordinator at school in South East London, mostly in very challenging circumstances, whcih has led him to become an acknowledged expert in the creative application of music, movement, images and words, to enrich the curriculum.

 

He now works in schools all over the UK and abroad working with both children and adults.   As well as classroom teaching, he has worked with QCA enhancing the curriculum using music.  He believes that at the heart of learning is fun, and that music can be used to enable this and motivate all learners.

 

Philip's methods are all tried and tested in the classroom and have been featured in the national and professional press.  He is the creator of the Beat It CDs and the DVD pack Move It; music and movement for the modern learning environment.  He has also developed a creative writing and thinking resource called Picture the Music. 

His most recent project is a movement based narrative/musical resource for early years and KS 1 children - www.tattybumpkinineducation.com/

 

Philip has also created Sounds inspirational, which uses sound to inspire creative thoughts - more information is available at Sounds Inspirational

 

Philip has professionally recorded and produced several other CDs and written numerous plays for children. In his spare time Philip writes and performs with his band, Tinpots.
