Engaging starts; selling the benefits of the lesson

Using pictures to stimulate writing; using decision makers

Tackling the "I can't... " attitudes

Activation phase

Multi-sensory approaches to activating learning

Looking at some visual strategies

Lunch

 

Session 4

More inputs using auditory and kinesthetic approaches, including speaking and listening

Demonstration phase

Organising discussions, snowballing, diamond ranking, rainbowing and envoying

Exploring boy-friendly practices

Consolidation phase

Feedback and marking

The importance of review/reflection time in the learning cycle

Ways to make the plenary session engaging

 

Session 5

Review and reflect on your learning

 

As this is a highly participative and interactive course, we recommend delegate numbers of between 20 and 60 (inclusive).

 

Every delegate receives a full set of documentation which will serve as a reference source as they apply the techniques in their own classroom.
