L2 Observe will need to be installed to your school's web server with the following requirements:
- Windows Server 2003 or higher
- MySQL Server latest version
- IIS (Internet Information Server) Web server
L2 Observe
L2 Observe helps you observe record, share and evaluate the learning taking place in your school. You can observe against current L2, OFSTED or your own custom criteria. L2 Observe will provide you with evidence for the inspection process as well as data for staff development.
L2 Observe is the perfect tool with which to develop learning and teaching across your school, collate meaningful evidence for inspection and plan your professional development programme. L2 Observe builds a picture of learning and teaching across the school, identifying areas of strength and weakness, and presenting the evidence in summary form. L2 Observe comes with a choice of lesson observation criteria: the latest OFSTED framework, our own L2 learning model or your own customisable version.
You can observe any lesson in your school, specify your own criteria, grade each lesson and accumulate the data. L2 Observe will also allow you to set your own access entitlement.
L2 Observe provides you with the benefits of:

L2 Observe allows any member of staff to observe any other and quickly provide a very detailed picture of the learning in that classroom. This is done by a combination of easy checks and, where needed, additional commentary. Middle and Senior Leaders can then discern trends and plan any development input.
I'm part of the school leadership, how will this benefit me?
L2 Observe will give you a whole school view of performance according to L2, OFSTED and custom criteria either in a graphical representation or with an observation by observation account of teacher's progress.
The graphical views are fully customisable allowing leadership teams to view performance for specific faculties, subjects and teachers which will help them pinpoint areas for improvement. This is invaluable in the run up to school inspections.
What can I do as a teacher?
As a teacher you will be able to view each observation made of your lessons. You will also be able to view these in a graphical representation of all of your observations.
You will also be able to observe other teachers should the need to arise. These may be done in real time on the L2 observe pages or, if preferred, can be printed out as PDF versions to complete later. Once these have been filled in they can then be input into the system for analysis.
